Downtown Long Beach
I’ve had the camera itch for weeks, and finally went out and did a little scratchin’ with friends over the weekend. Bridget, Margie, and took the Passport to Downtown Long Beach, the East Village Arts District, the Pike, Shoreline Village, then back to my place.
There’s always so much to see in downtown areas. Long Beach is no different.

We made it just around sunset time. It’s interesting to see how the change from natural light to electric light transform the feel of the city.
We rode Passport B and stopped on Pine and 1st. While we were walking down Pine, Bridget told me that there were protesters following us. I turned around and the first word that I saw on one of the girl’s signs was “Blood” and got a *little* bit scared.

Footprints left by businesses and buildings that have shut it’s doors that show the vibrancy of the city. I can only imagine what it used to be like.

Margie wanted to pose with the shadow people on the mural. This is her Hawthorne roots comin’ out.

I have no idea what Bridget is doing. Cheering the running shadow person?

This is just a guess, but I think Margie is ready to have kids.

Apparently, a lot of people take their dates here. I don’t know why. It looks like the perfect place to shoot a scene from the X Files. Doo bee doo bee doo dooooooo.

String puppet animals. F*** yeah!

Arrrrrrr!
