Bleeding Heart

IMG_0208

A few weeks ago, I went to Balboa Park with Bridget and Margie.  We went to explore the garden area first.  We walked through the shaded garden path from start to finish.  My knowledge is very VERY limited in flowers, plants, animals… so you can guess how much I sucked in my bio classes.  There were only a few flowers and plants I could identify; garden roses, daisies, tulips, and I think I saw lilies.  You would think that as much as I love flowers, I would care enough to learn their names or at least know the difference between annual and perennial.

But anyway, we walked through the garden and took lots of pictures.  I noticed the bleeding hearts planted by the entrance/exit before we left.  There was a tenor saxophonist to greet us by the lotus pond with his own version of “Autumn  Leaves”.
